Overview Upper Part of a Statue Middle Kingdom ca. 1859–1750 B.C. On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 111 The large ears and hooded eyes of this exceptionally sensitive image are seen in many later Middle Kingdom representations, continuing the artistic tradition of 12th Dynasty royal portraits. The jutting mouth, small chin, and angularly defined breasts are known from Dynasty 13 works.
