Description

Overview Tumbler Probably Hobbs, Brockunier and Company American ca. 1885–87 On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 774 This tumbler, decorated with the "inverted thumbprint" pattern and "sunburst" pattern on the bottom, has been attributed to the West Virginia firm of Hobbs, Brockunier and Company. By 1879, this was one of the largest glass factories in the United States.
